Dentures
Dentures are the traditional alternative way to replace one or more missing teeth when bridges or implants are not an option. Missing teeth cause jawbone shrinkage, and can make your cheeks more hollow and your mouth more sunken as time goes on. More importantly, your diet can suffer. A denture is a great way to replace several missing teeth without the need for surgery. Implants can also be used to support dentures. Depending on the amount of teeth missing, we may suggest partial or full dentures. During your consultation, we’ll assess all your options and provide you with suggestions on what you may be most comfortable with.
Partial
Partial dentures are ideal for those who are missing a few to several teeth. They latch onto and interact with existing teeth and gums for support. We provide several options such as more flexible, lighter partial dentures as well as sturdy, traditional metal framework partials.
Complete
When your dental arch no longer has any teeth, a complete denture that provides teeth along the whole arch is needed! Dentures can take several months to get used to, as well as train your jaw muscles to function with them properly. There is also an option to anchor and support a complete denture using implants.
Dentures are always an ongoing process, as the jaw, teeth, and gums gradually adapt and change form over the years. We will make recommendations for your unique situation during your consultation as well as inform you of routine visits that are needed after your dentures are completed.
